Urban Mojo

A very special THANK YOU to everyone who visited during this past weekend's Blog Hop! I can't thank those that took the time to leave comments enough - you really made my day! I hope you enjoyed yourself - I know I have LOADS of ideas, from all the other ladies, that I can't wait to try! Stay tuned, because we're working on another one for June. Need a little more inspiration while you wait? Come visit us at Stampin' Addicts anytime!

Ok, so as much as I adore my Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper, it's time to shift gears a bit - so I dug out my Urban Oasis DSP and Central Park Stamp Set. I checked out the Mojo Monday sketch for yesterday and this card came together pretty quickly. The leaves on the sides were embossed with Black Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. The center image I had originally stamped in Black Stazon, but it didn't show up "black enough" kwim? I lost some of the detail from the stamp by going with the craft ink/embossing, but I gained a better color to my image-and I was more interested in a nicer silhouette, anyway.

Heh heh...LOTS of Stampin' Dimensionals later, a little paper piercing with my Crafter's Tool Kit and some amazing Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon and I LOVE how it turned out! The main image was punched out with the 1 3/4" punch and framed with the same punch used twice on Kiwi Kiss and layered underneath.

I'll be featuring this paper a few more times this week - don't forget to take advantage of our Buy 3 Get one FREE Special on Designer Series Paper & Textured Card Stock.

Plus, ALL online orders, during the month of May, will be entered into a drawing to receive a free stamp set (value up to $18.95). This promotion is open to US customers only.

Very pretty, Beth. And a very nice switch from the Walk in the Park (as I know you were sick of looking at it, for now). I should really start using some of the DSP I own, so I can justfy ordering more during the sale.

HUGS!
Kelly

Hi Elizabeth,

Central Park is not usually my thing but you made this really work. I had a double take moment though when I first saw the card. I thought the central (no pun intended) image was the Flowers in Silhouette from the under $10 page in the catalog. I went to compare it with the Central Park and lo and behold discovered they were the same image minus the dotted stripes in the rubber! So I guess I was liking Central Park all along and didn't even know it!

Thanks for bringing me to that discovery!

Hugs and blessings - Jean
